Addedo Guides Diaverum to a Successful Implementation of its New Software for Financial Reporting.

Addedo was instrumental in securing a successful implementation of Aaro, a reporting and consolidation system at Diaverum. The company Diaverum, formerly Gambro Healthcare, is newly formed with new owners. Gambro Healthcare now known as Diaverum have been one of the world’s leading providers of renal services for over 15 years. The operations currently span 14 countries.
Initially, Addedo was called to the table to oversee the software implementation of Aaro at Diaverum as a third party senior advisor. “Being one of the leading CPM software consultancy firms with extensive experience from working with all the market leading vendors, Addedo was an obvious choice for us”, says Kristi Härdig IT Director at Diaverum. Over time Addedo’s engagement deepened to include overlooking and leading the implementation and interfaces from a project management perspective. Making sure it would be designed and configured so that it measures, analyzes and optimizes business performance efficiently and supports Diaverum’s strategic objectives. On time and on budget.
The plans for the future of Diaverum are ambitious. The aim is to expand the operations, opening new clinics around the globe on a monthly basis in the short- and mid-term future. “Our ambitious growth strategy together with our recent independence from Gambro has put quite some strain on the organisation, explains Kristi Härdig. She continues, “We have replaced a number of administrative as well as operative systems. Some of these projects have not delivered on target mainly due to lack of proper project management around the analysis and deployment phase. This financial reporting project was of outmost strategic importance. We could not afford any deviation from plan and target, why we had to carefully select our consulting partner.”

“Diaverum, this forward looking organisation, was taking a strategic and correct decision when they decided to bring in an experienced third party like us for quality assuring the implementation of their new reporting and consolidation tool. There is a significant trend among leading enterprises to bring in a third party to go in parallel with the software vendors’ own consultants to over look and project manage implementations and other software projects. This initiative can put a positive pressure on vendors providing for higher ROIs at clients”, says Johannes Westergården, Managing Director Addedo Group
He continues, “We assisted Diaverum from the analysis phase to deployment and closure. At this particular project we have assigned extra focus and resources around the deployment phase at Diaverum. To secure a successful deployment we set up a Pilot close with a handful users. This followed by training of the entire user community – around 50 users. When all had passed the training; we conducted an Alpha close followed by a Beta close before we completed a successful Live close. The entire project came in on target and on time. An effort both parties should be proud of.”
Kristi Härdig explains “Overcoming these project challenges means you need to find people who know more than just technology. At Addedo we have found these people. They know business processes, organization, project management and the relevant technology solutions as well as the challenges and potential problems we are facing in our project.”
